Two single-walled nanotubes (SWNT), the basis of many structures - and much research - in nanotechnology. Basic nanotubes are made of carbon atoms, arranged as alternate hexagons and pentagons, forming a hollow tube. More interesting effects can be noticed when other atoms, such as boron,are added into the mix - some of these hybrid SWNTs have interesting properties, such as conducting electricity or welding together.
